Laxmi Magar is one and only Nepali Professional Mountain Biker in the present context. She is young mountain biker of 27 years old. She is also a Student of Fine Arts at Kathmandu University. Laxmi ” A Daughter of Nepal Mountains” who was born to race on the lap of high mountain, Laxmi has already been three times National championship from women elite category. She has recently raced Nepal famous high altitude race Yak Attack. She has inspired a lot of women of Nepal.
Laxmi started Mountain biking in 2008 AD, recently she had received certificate to be a mountain bike guide, it support her cost of living and in her riding as well.
In an Interview with Norcal cycling She said.
“I’ve raced with international women in Sri Lanka against Canadians, Americans and Europeans. They all have very good mountain biking technical skills. I want to improve, be better and they all inspired me to train harder.”
In the year 2016 she she has attempt Yak attack which is high altitude Stages race. She is looking for sponsorship for her coming future races. Laxmi has also got opportunity to ride with international Women team.
Currently Laxmi is riding a TREK bike on the sponsorship of Kathmandu Bike Station. Her biggest challenges on Biking is to find good sponsorship to cover races also for some medical treatment.
We Hope laxmi will be inspiring other women to do better on cycling and good luck for her on future mountain biking.
Jagdish Cycle Store _ Find TREK And GIANT Mountain Bikes in Gaighat
A Famous and oldest cycle Store of Udayapur “Jagdish Cycle Store” located in the heart of Gaighat city, Triyuga-2. Mr. jadish Prasad shah founded the cycle store in 2031 BS. , Over the past decade the store has been providing the services in Gaighat. Most of the people from nearby village used to buy and take service from Jagdish cycle store at that time.
There is a vast differences between past and present in thinking of people about a cycle benefit said present proprietor of store Mr, Raju Shah, Raju Shah is son of Mr Jagdih Prasad shah. He explain people used to think that the low economic people only ride cycle but now a days people take cycle as a means of improving health condition, Living a better life style and as a part of sport. He added cycle communicate between Health and Environment. Now a days in Gaighat the high class community people buy cycle and take it as a means of exercise. He said I used to think my profession as a low level but now I am proud to be a Mechanic of bicycle.
Raju Shah is also a young cyclist and member of Gaighat cycle city. He said now we are turning our business in to professional way, we have been selling different professional cycle from our store. We have been selling only local brand cycle like HERO and other chiness cycle which is most economy and low economic condition people can easily effort to it , recently we have added TREK and GIANT bicycle which is comparatively high cost than normal cycle. We are around 50 cyclist now on our regular morning ride with a professional Mountain bike, Gaighat is shortly turning in to a green cycle city if people are aware about Benefit of cycle.
We can also developed udayapur in the tourism sector through cycle, there are various beautiful trail which are link from plain area to 3500M high altitude, there are a lot of forest and rivers in gaighat where people can enjoy cycling said raju shah.
World First Backward Cyclist Biresh Dahal _ Ridding backward for message of non-violence
Nepali cyclist from the eastern part of Nepal Mr. Biresh Dahal a permanent Resident Of Udayapur,Triyuga has undertaken an unusual mission in the name of world peace. Over the past decade, Biresh Dahal has ridden a bike backwards across three continents to spread his message of non-violence. Biresh is travelling with two companions, who unlike him, prefer to ride forwards. In London on the British leg of his journey.
We started cycling around the world to promote Nepal around the World and to encourage people to turn way from violence, we hope people will understand the message seeing riding back, I first started cycling in the year 2000, at that time Nepal was in the middle of Mouist conflict, he said about 13000 people killed during the period, we carried the pain with us, we slept in a lot of unusual places in our journey, we stay in Masjit, Churches and Temple. And In some places ladies used to invite us to sleep with them. Some even ask us for money, in the same way one women said should like to have child as courage’s as like me.
Sometime differences of opinion over which route to take, but we solve the problem asking peoples about route. I some countries like Singapore, we have not been allowed to cycle backwards, but as soon as the police were out of site I explain about my mission and in Saudi Arabia three police van surround us, People do not ride bike there but they ride motor bike there, The Nepalese embassy helped us there and we continue our journey. While riding backward I had problem in my back and also it affected my arms and eyes.
I want to win the world and we want to have our name in the Guinness world record for a first person cycling backward. Now here we are in London and I have already visited 57 countries of the world, and we are happy with our struggle.

Reverse Motorcyclist _ Mr Chitra Kumar Karki _ Riding For the world Peace, Prosperity, Tourism and end of Corruption.
You may have seen a motorcycle will ride with a hand or without using both hand Motorcycle, but have you ever seen riding a motor cycle reversely? You Might feel surprise about this issue. The people who does not know to ride motorbike they feel like the story about reverse riding. But a Nepali young boy Mr chitra Kumar Karki a permanent resident of Triyuga Udayapur Proved himself a reserved Motorcycle Rider.
He Has already rode almost 50% district of Nepal and Now he is in planning phase of ridding through the World for the world Peace, Prosperity, Tourism and end of Corruption.

He has officially started his riding from 2068-07-19 BS from Gaighat City and finished Nepal Ride (Mechi to Mahakali ) He Said Mechi – Mahakali Ride Is my most memorable ride. I have a Mission to Ride arround the Earth for the World Peace, Prosperity, Tourism and end of Corruption.
Currently he is seeking Economic support for his world record, HE has been continuously coordinating with the concern authority for the support.

यमलालको पारा ओलम्पिकमा जाने तयारी _ _प्रेरणाका स्रोत
एउटा भनाइ छ ‘जित्ने मान्छेले नकारात्मक घटनाबाट सकारात्मक बाटो पहिल्याउन सक्छ। हार्ने मान्छे चिन्ता पालेर बस्छ। मेरो सबै स्वाहा भयो, अब केही गर्न सक्तिन भनेर सोच्छ।’ यमलाल रसाइलीले पनि आफूलाई कमजोर सोचेर बसेको भए अहिले घरमै थन्किएर बसेका हुन्थे। तर उनले कमजोरीलाई शक्तिमा बदले र पो अहिले नाम, दाम र शानको जीवन बाँचेका छन्। ३७ वर्षे यामलालको एउटा खुट्टा छैन। तर उनले एउटै खुट्टाले साइकलको पाइडल ठेलेर नेपालका ३७ जिल्ला घुमेका छन्। यतिमात्रै होइन उनले गाउँमै सिलाई दोकान चलाएका छन्। त्यस ठाउँकै नामी सिलाईकटाई मास्टर हुन्। उनले थुप्रै सांगलाई जीवन सिकाएका छन्।
कौतुहलता लाग्ला यो कसरी सम्भव भयो ? मैले यही प्रश्न यमलाललाई गरें, ‘शरीरका एक–दुई अंग नभएर के भो ? अन्य अंग त छन् नि ? जीवन अभ्यास हो। सकारात्मक अभ्यास गर्ने सहास गरी जिइ हेर जीवन बडो सुन्दर र आनन्ददायी बन्छ, मैले आफैंबाट सिकेको यही हो’ यमलालले भने। ‘म एक खुट्टाले ३७ जिल्ला घुमेको छु। सिलाई पसल चलाएको छु। तालिम दिन्छु। जहान परिवार सुखमै राखेको छु। जीवन खुशीले बाँचेको छु।’
यामलाल ४ वर्षको हुँदा खुट्टा भाँचिएछ। कैलालीको लम्की चुवाको गाउँ अहिलेजस्तो सचेत भइसकेको थिएन। धामीझाँक्री गरे ठिक हुन्छ भन्ने विश्वासभन्दा पनि अन्धविश्वास थियो। नभए काप्रो बाँधे निको हुन्छ भन्थे। गरिब र निम्न वर्गीय यामलालको परिवारले त्यसै गरे तर ठिक भएन। पछि सेती अञ्चल अस्पताल पु¥याउँदा पो थाहा भयो उनको खुट्टा कामै नलाग्ने भइसकेछ। यसरी उनको दायाँ खुट्टाको तिघ्रा मुनिको भाग काटियो।
बुझ्ने भएदेखि नै हिम्मतिला यामलाल साथीभाइ, परिवार, छरछिमेकको सहारामा हुर्कँदै १८/१९ वर्षको भइसकेका थिए। नेपाल अपांग संघबाट सिलाईकटाई तालिम लिए। प्रशिक्षकको काम पनि पाए। तर घरदेखि टाढा कोठा भाडामा लिएर बस्नुप¥यो। शुक्रबार परिवार भेट्न फर्कन गाडी चढ्नै लाग्दा यामलाललाई गाडीबाट खसालीदिए। साह्रै कमजोर रहेछु भन्ने यमलाललाई लाग्यो। ‘यो घटनाले मलाई नराम्रोसँग चिमट्यो। के गरौं कसो गरौं भयो। मन विक्षिप्त भयो,’ यामलालले भने, ‘त्यसैदिन एउटा निर्णय गरेँ। अब यसरी अरुको भर परेर हुँदैन आफैं आत्मनिर्भर हुनुपर्छ।’
जीवनमा जित्नु छ, अरुभन्दा फरक हुनु छ भने दुखद् दिनबाट सुख्द दिनको सुरुवात गर भन्ने यामलालले त्यही घटनाबाट सिके। काकाको साइकल पसल थियो। यामलालले साइकल नै सिक्न थाले। ‘सुरुमा गाह्रो भयो। कति पछारिएँ तर लक्ष्य छोडिन्,’ यमलालले पुराना दिन सम्झे, ‘दुख भयो भनेर मैले बीचमै छाडेको भए अहिले यहाँ हुने थिइन्।’
केही समयमा साइकल सिकेर पनि ४० किलोमिटर परदेखि घर आउजाउ गर्न थालेका यामलालमा अर्को काम गर्ने सनक चढ्यो। एउटी अमेरिकी अपांग महिलाले सगरमाथा चढेको खबर सुनेपछि यामलालमा खुशीको सञ्चार गरेको थियो। पुस्कर शाहको विश्व साइकल यात्राले थप उत्साह थप्यो। अब म जहाँ पनि साइकल चलाउन सक्छु भने अब साइकलमै नेपाल यात्रा गर्छु भन्ने उनको मनमा जाग्यो।
२०५९ सालमा यमलालले साइकल यात्रा थाले। पश्चिम कञ्चनपुरदेख पूर्वी काकडभिट्टा पुगे। विभिन्न पहाडी जिल्ला हुँदै राजधानी, गोरखा, पोखरा, बेनी पुगे। पनि आएका थिए। २०५९ सालमै उनले साइकलमा नेपालका ३३ जिल्ला भ्रमण गरे। अहिलेसम्म ३७ जिल्ला घुमिसकेका छन्। उनी अहिले कहिले काठमाडौं, कहिले धरान, कहिले पूर्वी झापा त कहिले पोखरामा साइकलमै गुडिरहेको भेटिन सक्छन्। किनकी उनी साइक्लिङ प्रतियोगितामा भाग लिन ठाउँठाउँ पुग्छन्। साइक्लिङ प्रतियोगितामा उनले थुप्रै सांगलाई जितेका छन्। देशका विभिन्न ठाउँमा साइकल ¥यालीमा भाग लिन पुग्छन्।
एउटा खुट्टाले साइकल चलाएर मात्रै होइन विभिन्न प्रतियोगिता र ३७ जिल्ला साइकलबाटै यात्रा गरेर चकित बनाएका यामलालको भावी योजना के छ त ? ‘साइक्लिङ च्याम्पियनसिपमा भाग लिन मन छ। त्यसका लागि पारा ओलम्पिकमा जाने तयारी गर्दैछु। एउटा खुट्टा नभएको एक नेपालीले पारा ओलम्पिक जित्यो भनेर यो देशको नाम रोशन गर्न चाहन्छु,’ उनले सुनाए।
